This Is Not a White Cube Contemporary Art Gallery presents in Lisbon "The Green Line," a solo exhibition by the Luso-Angolan artist Pedro Pires, which marks his return to the Portuguese capital after more than a decade of a growing presence in the international art scene. The title "THE GREEN LINE" stems from the appropriation of Francis Alys' homonymous work’s name and the designation given to the Armistice border, defined at the end of the Arab-Israeli armed conflict in 1948.

The exhibition "Reflect#2 - FRAGMENTS, FRAGILITIES, MEMORIES," held at the Museum of African Art in Belgrade (Serbia) in collaboration with THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE Art Gallery, contains carefully selected works by Angolan artists, representative of what is, in a broad spectrum, the artistic production and intellectual reflection of an iconic generation born after Angola's independence in 1975, following the affirmation of independence movements, the Portuguese Colonial War and the deposition of the dictatorial Estado Novo regime in Portugal.

Pedro Pires received an award from the Cuperior Collection for the sculpture presented at the Biso Biennale in Ougadougou, Burkina Faso. The award consists of an art residency in Berlin with a 2 month duration. The residency will take place in 2022.

Second edition of the Biso Biennale in Ougadougou, Burkina Faso. The theme for the Biennale was the book "Ambiguous Adventure" by Cheikh Hamidou Kane, one of the greatest African novels ever written, this long-unavailable classic tells the tale of young Samba Diallo, a devout pupil in a Koranic school in Senegal whose parents send him to Paris to study philosophy. Pedro Pires was in residency in Ouagadougou with artists from Benin, Mauritania, Tunisia, etc, developing his sculpture "Doppelgänger Kit".

This installation shows the remains of "Habitat" after being robbed from the Old Tinco Factory, where it was meant to stay for 6 months. The installation consists of a brochure, remains of “Habitat” and a QR CODE that leads to my website where the viewers can find documentation of the sculpture and destruction.

The angolan curator Tila Likunzi, presents a film documenting the installation "SIM" travelling on the streets of Luanda during one day. "SIM" was presented at the 2020 "Fuckin'Globo" edition at Hotel Globo in Luanda, March 2020.
